An out of shape Ronaldinho is good to no one. His ability to create the amazing depends on what type of shape he is in.

An out of shape Ronaldinho would be a detriment to any MLS team because he would be brought over to impress the fans, not to just jog around and merely be average. All it would do is make the team and the league look bad.

"Of course, bringing Ronaldinho over to MLS wouldn’t be a smart move for any team."

Are you insane? Even an out of shape Ronaldinho is better than almost every other player in MLS. Ronaldinho has many good years ahead, and I can not see him playing in a substandard league like MLS. He's going to Chelsea or AC Milan.

Yeah, unfortunately, America is where old European stars go to die. It's always been that way, but I still think the Beckham move was good for the league, although perhaps in the short term -- which may give even more teeth to your point.

If MLS wants to seem like a top-flight league, they have to stop taking Europe's leftovers. They're turning into the Newark Bears of the soccer world.

Even if this were a possibility for the MLS, L.A. definitely can't be in the running with the dreadful defense I saw this weekend against United.
